SOLAR MILK COOLING PROJECT
In partnership with WWF, this project is empowering Maasai women, with the provision of a 3,000-litre solar-powered milk coolant system, which allows for milk from the community livestock to be stored and sold to commercial milk suppliers, thus receiving an income and improving livelihoods of the local communities.
The Maarifa Foundation
The Maarifa Foundation is an Australian-based Education for Conservation Non-Profit organization set up to support children in the community conservancies in Kenya.
The Foundation has so far funded school fees, uniforms, shoes and provision of solar lights for studying after dark.
